Hot Pizza Dip With Garlic Crostini

Ingredients

1 baguette

2 tbsp. olive oil

2 oz. butter, melted

1 tsp. garlic powder

8 oz. cream cheese at room temperature

1 cup marinara

2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese

15 to 20 Italian dry salame slices

cut into quarters

15 to 20 pepperoni slices

1/2 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese

1 tsp. Italian seasoning

One bite of this dip and the rest is history. The tang of our salame and pepperoni with the creamy cheese will have everyone at the table asking for more.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut baguette into thin slices lay out on baking sheet(s). Mix olive oil melted butter and garlic powder. Brush front and back of each slice of bread and set aside.
  2. In a shallow baking dish or pie dish brush remaining butter and olive oil mixture over surface. Layer in cream cheese followed by 1 cup mozzarella cheese and then marinara sauce. Spread marinara evenly with spoon or spatula.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining cup of mozzarella then top with Italian dry salame slices and pepperoni slices. Finish with shredded parmesan and Italian seasoning.
  4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbling around the outer edges. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.
  5. Turn oven temperature up to 425 degrees. Bake bread for 5 to 7 minutes until crispy. Remove from oven and serve with dip.
